In honor of Michelle, some of her co-workers have taken the time to share their thoughts and memories of her.

"Michelle was very important part of our Houston Mac-Gray Web family. Not only have we lost a very successful part of our sales team but we have also lost a good friend. Her success in the market this past year was amazing. Once she made up her mind she was going to get something done, she just did it. She was just that kind of driven person.

She made the chore of our monthly sales and operations meetings a joy. As anyone in sales or operations knows well, those meetings are not always fun. We never knew when she was going to show up or what she would say once she did, but she was such a joy and inspirations that being late was just accepted by the rest of us. She was always late! We will all miss her humor and honest and forthright opinion.

Our meetings will never be the same. She is going to be missed very much".

Russell Dillard, Commercial Sales Houston, TX

"I came on board with Mac-Gray/WEB shortly after Michelle began and had the privilege of spending time with her in Houston as a form of training. Her approach to business was always aggressive, organized, and professional. Although, the woman had no concept of time or direction! She was always trying to catch up and when she would she was always lost. No one would laugh harder about this than Michelle. At our training in Corporate we finally got to a point where we would tell her our meetings or dinner would begin 30 minutes earlier than they actually would. And guess what...? She was still late. She was a beautiful, caring co-worker, friend and role model. I will miss her very much."

Mike Butler, District Sales Manager, Denver, CO

"I had the pleasure to work with Michelle daily in Houston for over a year. The energy and drive she possessed was incredible, as was her sincerity to take care of her customers.

Although she had a “thing” for being late or lost, her presence was known once she arrived. She’d usually burst into a conversation about recent meetings regarding locations or other issues that she was working on. She didn’t miss a beat.

Her drive and energy at work however was second to her family. Michelle was a very loving mother and wife. Sharing family stories with me almost daily (some very funny), I saw the love, hopes and dreams she held for them for the years to come. She was a great mom and wife.

Michelle was never one to pass up giving a compliment or thank you to others or to share a joke she enjoyed. At times some of her jokes weren’t that funny but she’d try to convince me why they were as she was laughing. I smile when I think about that now.

She was a hard worker and could be a bit exhausting at times, but this was who she was, determined and spirited. She was many things to many people. To me she was a friend as well as a co-worker. I miss her."

Jan Quick Sales Administrator – Houston, TX

"Most of all of my dealings with Michelle were through email. She always had such a great & positive attitude and was always so appreciative of any bit of assistance or information that came her way. She would always reply back with updates, thanks and a "have a great weekend". She was a pleasure to work with. My heart goes out to her family, friends and co-workers."

Dawn Carbonier, Marketing Database & Lead Manager - Corporate

"Michelle was a breeze to work with and a lot of fun to talk to and tell stories with."

Mark Giese, District Sales Manager, OK

"I spoke to Michelle a number of times. I had met her when she was up here for training. We also emailed. I did all of her expenses. I could tell she was a very kind, thoughtful person. We talked some about our families. She was crazy about her children. She started emailing pictures of them. She sent me a card thanking me for being such a nice person and great to work with. My thoughts and prayers have been with her children, husband and all her family and especially for Michelle that left us way before her time."

Marlene Sposito, Accounts Payable - Corporate

"I will always remember Michelle as being very creative, encouraging and appreciative. She would always have tons of ideas on how to promote the company and how to make us shine. She left a memorable first impression with me after our first meeting at corporate by giving me a small gift simply because I had taken the time out of my day to speak with her. If she did this for me, I can’t imagine what her gifts of thanks must have been to actual customers! She would always write the best emails too. For a long time I saved one to bring out on a “rainy day” that she had written to me. She simply wrote, “You ROCKALOTTA!” It always made me smile. I will miss her greatly."

Angela Christensen, Assistant Marketing Manager - Corporate

"There are many words that people use to describe in remembrance when someone close passes on, "great friend, fun co-worker, wonderful Mother or wife, dedicated and hard worker, talented", etc.

But the one word I think best describes Michelle is, "passionate". She was completely passionate about her children and husband.
And fortunately for Mac-Gray, she was passionate about her job. She was passionate about her work within the Houston Apartment Association, spending many hours volunteering because she new the importance of her involvement and the success it would help bring.

Ironically, there was a story told at her funeral about a child from "Katrina" who's family was relocated to Houston that had cancer. But the family didn't have enough money to cover all the child's medical costs. So Michelle organized a fund to raise money to help out with the expenses. She apparently gave "a lot of her own money" as well, including the time and effort to organize this. That can only be described as "passionate".

I was fortunate to have known Michelle, even though it was not for a very long, she joined Mac-Gray in May of 2006. But, in that time it was her "passion" for so many things that I will always remember and miss."
